– Weather record – Tie for low temperature for any Dec. 6th
Due to clear skies not trapping in heat this morning, Olympia Regional Airport, closest official weather service station to Yelm (16 miles), tied the low temperature record for any December 6th at 17 degrees (-8.3 C.), the previous record set in 1980. The average low for any Dec. 6th is 33 degrees (.6 C.).
