- From StageStruck’s Nancy Hillman:
OPENING July 12th for TWO Weekends $10 with Kids 4 & under FREE – StageStruck’s Original Play – “Giving” In this original and unique free style musical, written by Nancy Hillman and Lucy Turchin, Young Max and his school friends deal with growing pains, as they navigate the challenges of middle school. Their lives grow more exciting when they befriend a magic tree and a group of singing, dancing flowers. Through their friendships as they grow into maturity of adulthood, they discover what they really desire, and experience a sense of purpose as they share first crushes, first dances, first heartbreaks, and even separation as they go off to different colleges, all except Max who is left behind, which makes him crave money and stability. He finds it, in the shape of his giving tree, who promises to always make any sacrifice in order to keep him happy. It is only the great lessons learned in the forest that give the group wisdom, maturity and the ability to ultimately put good in the world.
