“Auditor’s Office Receives Award for Financial Reporting”
- Editor’s note: Yelm’s former award-winning Finance Director Joe Wolfe has employed his immense talents in the Thurston County Auditor’s office since last summer, to the benefit of Thurston County!
“The Thurston County Auditor’s Financial Services Team received their 13th straight Annual Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The Government Financial Officers Association (GFOA) gives the award to recognize state and local governments who go above and beyond in their financial reporting.
“‘We are committed to making county finances transparent and accessible to the public,’ said Mary Hall, Thurston County Auditor. ‘Our team in Financial Services is incredibly talented and dedicated. I’m really grateful for the work they do.'”
“This award follows the county’s fourth straight clean audit from the State Auditor’s Office last summer,” from the Office of the Thurston County Audtior. Read more
