  • Editor’s note: I met Rian Ingrim last weekend at a Yelm event and committed to introduce him. Mr. Ingrim crafted the following statement for Yelm Blog readers:

Introducing Rian Ingrim for Congressional Rep. District 10

My name is Rian Ingrim and I am running for U. S. Congress representing the 10th District.

We need to get America open for business and back on their feet. The American people are hurting, they are suffering economically, they are being attacked on all fronts and they are worried that America is going to continue to descend into chaos. It’s time for all of us to stop hand-wringing about what is going on and change what is going on.

I am for protecting our Constitutional rights, including our rights to keep and bare (sic) arms. I am for business owners, starting with their right to open their doors!!! I am for law and order, I am for veterans, I am for the little guy, and the honest big guys. I am for free speech and free market health care. I am for protecting the innocence of our children and ending the scourge of trafficking. I am for school choice and homeschooling. I am for American sovereignty. I am for bringing our troops home and from the Middle East. I am for bringing manufacturing back to our shores.

I ask for your vote so I can fight for you, our children, our President, and our country. Thank you for your consideration.”

This statement is provided as a service and does not imply an endorsement.

  1. The right to bare arms? The punctuation and grammar in this introduction is ghastly for someone running for office.

  2. It is unfortunate that English is not hammered into the younger generation as it was years ago as was penmanship. In Mr. Ingrim’s defense, I offer that we all make grammatical and spelling mistakes. I made one just the other day writing ‘plane’ (as in airplane) when I meant ‘plain’ (as in flat area). I too met Mr. Ingrim last weekend. We had a short conversation. I found him to be sincere in his beliefs. I too want the economy to flourish, but only with safeguards that will minimize covd-19 infection.
