“ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT-Northwest Aviation Operations Unmanned Aircraft Systems Training Airstrip”
“The Aviation Division within the Directorate of Plans, Training, Aviation, Mobilization, and Security at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) proposes to construct, operate, and maintain a new Shadow unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) training airstrip within the Rainier Training Area in Training Area 20. The U.S. Army is the lead Federal agency for the proposed action. The proposed training airstrip would allow for JBLM to conduct required Shadow UAS training within existing military restricted airspace.
