“During this period in American history, when the upcoming American election looms large, filmmakers Liz Garbus and Lisa Cortés address the timely and crucial issue of voter suppression in their documentary, All In: The Fight for Democracy, coming to Prime Video, September 18th, 2020. The film tells the story of Stacey Abrams, former minority leader of the Georgia House of Representatives, and includes personal experiences with racism and voter suppression that she and her family faced in her hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Abrams notably lost the 2018 Georgia Gubernatorial Election to then Secretary of State, Brian Kemp, who, in a conflict of interest, oversaw the election and election data and was subsequently accused of voter suppression.
