2nd winter storm warning issued for tonight,
Total snow accumulations of 4 to 9 inches!

Here are schools and other entities shut down Friday by the snow

WHAT…2nd Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 9 inches.

WHERE…Lowlands of Thurston, western Lewis, and far southeast Mason Counties, including Olympia, Centralia.

WHEN…For the first Winter Storm Warning, until 6 AM PST early this morning. For the second Winter Storm Warning, from 6 PM this evening to 4 PM PST Saturday.

IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.


+ The Olympian: Here are schools and other entities shut down Friday by the snow – Many places have already made a plan for Friday.

+ Yelm Community Schools: No School – Possible Snow Make Up Day

+ The Olympian: Heavy snow expected tonight, but it should lighten up by Sunday
