Yelm’s council holds Public Hearing Tuesday without public notification

The Yelm City Council has on their agenda a Public Hearing on the Six-Year Transportation Plan, however this has not been publicly posted on the city’s website, Twitter feed, nor the official Facebook page.

The council will vote on this plan immediately following the non-publicized public hearing. Really? Without any due time to consider the public response or lack thereof?

The placing of the STIP beginning on page 11 of the council’s meeting packet is not considered public notification of a Public Hearing. So much for the city’s oft touted commitment to transparency!

Click here for the council agenda, scroll down for this hearing’s information beginning on page 11.
