_______________________________________________________

+ Editor’s note: On January 1st, Mayor DePinto will officially take his office as Mayor of Yelm, with his first business day on January 3, along with Interim City Administrator Todd Stancil. The day will begin with relief for most city staff, as the era of intimidation, harassment, and investigations of the previous city leaders will be over. The office tensions will be disinfected in the sunshine of leaders who stand for truth, integrity, and civic process.

Our city hall will now be a place where every employee and every citizen can feel safe and heard if they have an issue. The “brain drain” from excessive turnover of personnel will hopefully come to an end.
