Michael Grayum resigns after serving Yelm for 5 years!
Yelm City Administrator Michael Grayum told the city council tonight that his resignation is effective at the end of this month and wished everyone well, acknowledging the achievements and accomplishments during his 5 years years.
Grayum said, “As Mayor Foster’s term ends, and a new administration takes office, this is an opportune time for me to take on a new professional challenge. I will be resigning at the end of the year to enable the new administration to chart their path forward and build on the great work we’ve all accomplished together.”
Grayum is being investigated for sexual harassment and intimidation allegations by several city employees. The results of a third party independent investigation have not yet been released or made public.
Grayum came to his Yelm post with great promise, as noted here 5 years ago, January 3, 2017:
