+ Office of Gov. Jay Inslee: Women’s History Month offers us a chance to reflect on and celebrate the many ways women have changed the course of economic, cultural and social tides in WA and across the country. This work is far from done, but the pursuit of progress persists.
March is Women’s History Month. Since 1995 every U.S. president has celebrated March as Women’s History Month. International Women’s Day has been celebrated across the world on March 8 since 1911. These proclamations celebrate the contributions women have made to the United States and recognize the specific achievements women have made over the course of American history in a variety of fields.
