Barbra Streisand tuns 80 today!
Editor’s note: There has been a rare few singers in the genre of greatness like Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland, yet Barbra Streisand is among them. And today is her 80th birthday!
She has graced our national consciousness, our stages, screens and music players since the original Broadway production of ‘Funny Girl’ opened at the Winter Garden Theater in New York on March 26, 1964. Oh this is great Steve! Thank you! I remember when I first saw her on TV…such a mega talent in an unusual looking girl of 18(?). She absolutely thrilled us, didn’t she? What a fabulous file of memories you have opened for me this morning. I esp love that you have listed all her awards. Everything she touched and touches…turns to gold. Nothing like witnessing/enjoying the greatness that absolute perfectionism inspires. She is truly remarkable. Thank you!
