National Weather Service issues Heat Advisory thru the weekend!

Heat Advisory from Sat 12 pm until Sun 9 pm PDT

90s forecasted for Yelm Sunday and Monday

…HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 9 PM PDT SUNDAY…

WHAT…Hot conditions with temperatures in the mid 80s to mid 90s expected. This will pose a moderate risk of heat-related illness.

WHERE…Southwest Interior, Tacoma Area, Hood Canal Area, Lower Chehalis Valley Area, East Puget Sound Lowlands, Bellevue and Vicinity, Seattle and Vicinity and Bremerton and Vicinity.

WHEN…From noon Saturday to 9 PM PDT Sunday. IMPACTS…Heat will increase the risk of heat-related illnesses for those who are sensitive to heat, especially those without effective cooling or adequate hydration.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.

+ KING-5 TV News: Seattle has had 10 90-degree days this year, third most in recorded history – There have been 10 days with temperatures of at least 90 degrees so far this year.
