Olympia Chamber Orchestra Set to Perform at Yelm Community Center
From the NVN:
Music lovers have the opportunity to watch the Olympia Chamber Orchestra perform at the Yelm Community Center at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18.
The musicians who are participating are excited to return to Yelm, as they’ve performed at the park in the past.
The City of Yelm is sponsoring the concert at the community center. While the event is free to the public, donations are appreciated by the Olympia Chamber Orchestra.
“The City of Yelm has always been very supportive of the Olympia Chamber Orchestra,” Claudia Simpson-Jones said.
Simpson-Jones is a longtime Yelm resident who served as the orchestra’s conductor for nearly 15 years.
“Our present conductor, Nickolas Carlson, is young, energetic, holds a master’s degree in conducting, and does a wonderful job on the podium,” she said.
