From Yelm’s award-winning photographer Rory Siegel
I find this quite amusing and strange!
I decided on February 12th at the last minute to enter this year’s Fine Art Photography awards, an
international photo competition that gets tons of submissions from all over the world.
In the process of entering I found an entry I submitted, a 5 photo series called “Almost Home” that I’d entered in the 2019-2020 awards and saw that I’d been awarded what they call “nominee” status which is apparently akin to an honorable mention.
For some reason I never was notified so I was curious and wrote them to ask. Found out that nominees are in the top third of all submissions and in fact I was one of 60 from around the world in my open theme category…. Still quite an honor!
Anyway just finally found the link to the winners gallery where they show the winners and nominees and here’s the link if you have an interest!
====================
Congratulations to Ms. Siegel.
