Yelm Loop Phase 2 timeline is Spring 2024 – Fall 2026

You may have heard of the delay to phase 2 of the Yelm Loop out past 2030 in Governor Inslee’s and the Senate’s proposed Transportation Budgets earlier this year.
This was unacceptable for us here in Yelm (as well as the region) and State Representative Andrew Barkis went to bat for us. He negotiated well and just before the 2023 legislative session ended the Transportation budget that passed included the 2nd phase of the Yelm Loop with construction scheduled for spring of next year.
I will continue to fight against any delays and will work with Rep. Barkis to ensure WSDOT sticks to the current schedule. Check out this link for more information on the project and if you see Rep. Barkis around, tell him thanks!
