The City of Yelm Police Department would like to congratulate Officer David Nissen on his selection as the 2022 City of Yelm Police Department Officer of the Year.
Officer Nissen is a highly skilled and dedicated member of the YPD. Since joining the department in December 2020, Nissen has become an integral part of the team, serving as a Field Training Officer, and is certified as a Hostage Negotiater with the Thurston County Crisis Negotiator Team.
Officer Nissen’s exceptional efforts, strong work ethic, and unwavering dedication to the Yelm Police Department and the citizens of Yelm have earned him a positive reputation within the community.
