– Editor’s Note
Excellent decision by the School Board and appropriate move to maintain continuity and get someone appointed quickly to work with outgoing Superintendent Andy Wolf these next 2 months. YCS has some incredible talent and strengths which is the legacy of outgoing Superintendent Wolf, yet faces challenges for which Mr. Wharton is uniquely qualified and understands: namely the overcrowding of schools in the west end of town from over-development there, and the school system’s aging infra-structure. That Wharton can easily take command is also a tribute to Wolf for having such a caliber of leader qualified to take the reins.
