Yelm Police now interacting with the public via social media

* Yelm Police Dept. proudly debuts Facebook page
* With former Mayor Harding out, city staff have freedom to interact with constituents

On August 16, 2016, a new day dawned in Yelm with the arrival of public interface and transparency in the debut of the Yelm Police Department’s Facebook page, heretofore not allowed in Mayor Harding’s administration.

Congratulations to Chief Stancil and his team on their department’s debut on social media now that new leadership is in-office at City Hall. This is long overdue and a sign that things truly are changing in Yelm.
Congratulations also go to Interim Mayor Foster for his “fostering” of openness in government.
A breath of fresh air has ensued. BRAVO!
