“Gov. Inslee signs bill prohibiting life sentences without parole for youths”
“Washington will no longer consign killers younger than 16 to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
A law signed Friday [March 28] by Gov. Jay Inslee makes them eligible for parole after 25 years, while leaving the decision up to a judge for 16- and 17-year-olds,” quoting Jordan Schrader in The Olympian.
